Existing defects

The QBCC Home Warranty Insurance Policy does not cover defects or subsidence that you were aware of before you purchased the property. However, our dispute resolution process may be able to help.

You should have a pre-purchase building inspection done before you buy a home to ensure no defects exist, or that you are aware of any defects. We recommend you make it a condition of your contract that you are satisfied with the outcome of this inspection.
